Pro-LTTE Tamil National Alliance Snubbed in India

With rising opposition to the extremist Vaiko Gopalaswamy in the power corridors of India the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentary delegation who visited India has not been granted an interview with the Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh.

Earlier during a 20 minute meeting with the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Vaiko Gopalaswamy immediately after he led a demonstration outside the Sri Lankan High Commission in New Delhi protesting against the military offensive against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), the Prime Minister reportedly granted an interview to the proxy party of the Tamil Tigers, the TNA.

Accordingly, a TNA delegation that included R.Sampanthan (Leader), Mavai Senathirajah , M.K.Sivajilingham, Pathmini Sithamparanathan and Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam joined Vaiko Gopalaswamy at the MDMK headquarters, Thaiyagam in Chennai in the expectation of flying to New Delhi.

Let’s see how India behaves this time. Just because this guys talk with India it does not mean India will favor terrorism all the time.
India has large number of business operation in Sri Lanka right now – not like 10 years back - they also need peaceful environment if they need to sell their Maruti Cars and Asian paints or if they want guests in their hotels in Sri Lanka.
