Jaffna farmers hit by LTTE ban

Oct 20 (SCOPP) An LTTE ban on Jaffna farmers selling their vegetables to the military in Jaffna has deprived these farmers of a steady market to sell their produce. Military sources said the LTTE had put up posters across the Jaffna peninsula ordering farmers not to sell any of their vegetables to the military and also issued death threats to anyone failing to follow this order.
