Stranded commuters castigate private bus operators

Aug 9 (TheAcademic.org) Stranded commuters today castigated private bus operators, and called on Authorities to enact 'some sort of law' blocking future strikes which place the general public in quandary. Several transport organizations including the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association which operates some 18,000 busses around the country went on strike today demanding the Government to scrap increased road fines.
