Karu as Ranil`s running mate

Aug 3 (LankaNewspapes) Responding to the government's challenge, the United National Party yesterday (2) announced that its Prime Ministerial candidate was Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya.

Kurunegala District parliamentarian Johnston Fernando said there was no problem whatsoever in this regard as the party works as a professional organization and Karu Jayasuriya will be the candidate for the premiership.
