Will UK in its new role as EU President demand the decommissioning of the LTTE?

United Kingdom took on the new responsibility of the Presidency of the European Union on July 1, 2005. She will hold the post for the next six months. This also means that UK, which has been playing a key role behind the scenes in Sri Lankan affairs, will now be acting in two capacities: 1) on behalf of UK and 2) on behalf of European Union.
