Suspected Tamil rebels kill 3 soldiers

Tamil militants shot dead three soldiers in an ambush in the eastern Batticaloa district on Thursday morning. Three of those soldiers killed said to belong to the army intelligence. This is a major violation of the ceasefire agreement, the military said. In the recent past the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has killed dozens of intelligence personnel of police and military as well as political activists of democratic Tamil parties.
