Sri Lanka 's governing party officially names presidential candidate

Jul y28 (AP) Sri Lanka's governing party on Thursday formally named Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse as the party's presidential candidate, as the incumbent head of state's second and final six-year term draws to a close.
