President: Negotiation only solution

May 8 (BBC) President Kumaratunga said war is not the solution to Sri Lanka's national question. A long lasting solution could only be found through negotiations with Tamil Tigers, she said. In an apparent attack to government's coalition partner JVP, she said that it was naïve to keep arguing on certain words or phrases than trying to find a solution to the problem.
