President regrets UNP's rejection of dialogue offer on tsunami assistance

May 8 (PRIU) President Chandrika Kumaratunga yesterday communicated her 'regret and surprise' in a letter to the Leader of the Opposition Mr.Ranil Wickremesinghe. The President had on 29th April invited Mr. Wickremesinghe and his UNP for a dialogue on a common program for humanitarian assistance for tsunami affected areas.
