Joint mechanism, even if UPFA falls

May 4 (SCOPP) In one of her toughest statements, President Chandrika Kumaratunga yesterday vowed to go ahead with the joint mechanism with the LTTE even if that meant losing her presidency or the downfall of the UPFA government.
