Australia not provided direct funding to TRO: Government is aware that TRO has links to LTTE - Foreign Minister Mr Alexander Downer

The Australian Government has continued to resist pressures from LTTE front organisations in Australia and opposition Australian Parliamentarians to provide direct assistance to Tamils Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO), a Sri Lankan NGO which is widely believed to be the relief and rehabilitation arm of LTTE.
