Tigers' attempts to abduct children thwarted

March 31 (LankaTruth) - Defense spokesman Brig. Daya Ratnayake said that steps have been taken to thwart attempts by Wanni tigers to abduct children in the North and the East displaced by tsunami to be conscripted. An attempt to abduct two children from Thirukkovil area in Ampara was thus repulsed.
