Sri Lanka blames LTTE for escalation of violence

Mar 3 (AFP) Sri Lanka on Thursday accused Tamil Tiger rebels of ignoring security warnings and sparking a spate of attacks against their members. The defence ministry in a statement said the rebel LTTE ignored advise to inform security forces and obtain protection before moving in areas held by government forces.
