President appoints inquiry into killings in the east to appease LTTE & Norway

Colombo, 15 March, (Asiantribune.com): Under pressure from Norway and the LTTE, President Chandrika Kumaratunga has appointed a commission of inquiry into the killings of the LTTE cadres in the east.



The Judge of the Vavuniya High Court Mr. J. Visvanathan will chair the Commission. The other member of the Commission is the Judge of the Ampara High Court Mr. W. T. M. P. B. Warawewa.
