Chavakachcheri under control - military

ColomboPage.com, Mar 14, Colombo: The tense situation erupted after violent mobs, instigated by the LTTE engaged in provocative activities in Chavakachcheri, Jaffna since last Friday has now been brought under control.



Military Spokesman Brigadier Daya Ratnayake said “A tense situation continued to prevail in the area since last Friday, after mobs incited by LTTE organized violent activities following a road accident."
