LTTE women leader shot by gunmen
(BBC) A senior Tamil Tiger leader and two others were shot by gunmen in Ampara district on Monday afternoon.
Batticaloa-Amapra district women political wing leader Kuveni and two other LTTE women cadres were taken to Thirukkovil hospital after the shooting at Thambiliwil, head of Thirukkovil police AHM Kariyaperuma told journalists.
