Fresh violence erupts in Sri Lanka as Tigers tour Europe

COLOMBO (AFP) - At least three people were critically wounded when suspected Tamil Tiger rebels threw a grenade into the office of a rival group in eastern Sri Lanka, military officials said.

The attack on Friday was the latest in a spate of violent incidents between the Tiger rebels and a breakaway faction that Scandinavian truce monitors fear could result in the collapse of a ceasefire.
