Party quits Sri Lanka government

(BBC) The Sri Lankan government has lost its parliamentary majority after a coalition partner walked out.



The withdrawal of the Ceylon Workers Congress, which has eight seats in the 225-strong assembly, left the ruling alliance with only 111 seats.
