New law seeks to avoid future disasters

Feb 26 (SAMN) The increase of natural and man made disasters over the last two decades affecting Sri Lanka's economy, its people and the environment has compelled the government to introduce the Sri Lanka Disaster Management Bill, Minister of social welfare, Sumedha G. Jayasena told parliament Friday.
