Akashi optimistic on agreement

Feb 14 (PIS) Japanese special envoy Yasushi Akashi yesterday expressed hope that the opportunity provided by the tsunami would be used by both parties to reach a lasting settlement despite the atmosphere being spoiled by the killing of LTTE eastern political leader E. Kaushalyan.
