Def. Sec. Wanni civilians urged to enter cleared areas
The Government has always taken adequate steps to minimise civilian casualties when launching security operations while minimising the damage caused to public institutions and property, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa said yesterday.
He said civilians in areas where military operations are going on are being urged to come to cleared areas as the Government’s main concern is to protect them.
“The civilians are being asked to come to Vavuniya. The Government will facilitate them with food, medicine and other requirements. After the military operations they will be resettled in their original places".

Well said Gota. Sri Lankan Army is one of the best in the world today and hope they can defeat the LTTE terrorist.
Political parties and the international help is required to ensure that funding, propaganda is stopped.
This coming from a terrorist?
Military has done it's best to avoid any civilian casualties, which cannot be said by the LTTE or their terrorist supporters.
Military, we are with you, go all the way and end this war! Sooner the better, as the next generation should not suffer thanks to the LTTE lunatic of a leader, Prabakaran and his goonies!
