Army Chief wants talks with LTTE

Dec 07 (LankaNewspapers) New Army Commander Sarath Fonseka yesterday called for the immediate resumption of field level talks between the military and the LTTE to defuse tension following the two major attacks but he also vowed he would take every step to protect his troops and fight terrorism.
