Prime minister says he won't abandon truce with rebels

Sep 7 (AP) Sri Lanka's prime minister denied on Wednesday that he had agreed to redraft a cease-fire pact with Tamil Tiger rebels to win the support of the Marxist party for his candidacy in upcoming presidential elections.
