Sri Lankan govt. hints at removal fuel subsidies
April 13 (Asiantribune.com) Alarmed by the skyrocketing oil prices, the Sri Lankan government warned the consumers that a major hike in fuel charges are on the cards as the state is simply unable to continue with subsidies. The Ministry of Power and Energy Susil Premajayantha said a heavy fuel price will be necessary soon due to the rising prices in the world market while suggesting changes in fuel subsidies.
