Sri Lanka-Tiger issue gets enhanced attention from U.S. state department

Washington, 16 April (Asiantribune.com): A senior United States Department of State official, on condition of anonymity, disclosed to 'Asian Tribune' that the early April visit of Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick's official tour to Norway coupled with taking up the issue of Sri Lanka's conflict with separatist Tamil Tiger rebels, the LTTE, and the Sri Lanka government-LTTE joint mechanism for tsunami victims in the predominantly Tamil districts in the north and east of Sri Lanka with Norwegian authorities.
