Catholics in Sri Lanka mourns death of Pope John Paul

April 4 (LankaTruth) - Catholic Church of Sri Lanka has declared a seven day mourning period as a mark of respect for Pope John Paul who passed away last morning. The Catholics have been requested to stop all celebrations and engage in religious activities specially participate in memorial services. The flag of the Catholic Church is to be flown half mast during this period in churches and related institutes.
