Sri Lanka's Foreign Public Diplomacy in U.S. In Jeopardy

Washington, 18 April (Asiantribune.com): There is no effective and constructive coordination between the Government of Sri Lanka's Foreign Ministry and Sri Lanka's Mission in the United States, the most important diplomatic post for this South Asian nation whose survival most of the time depends on decisions taken in Washington, and Sri Lanka's ability to unleash an effective public diplomacy while maintaining a close rapport with Washington players coupled with effective monitoring mechanism within the United States. None of these are found in Sri Lanka’s overseas public diplomacy, according to a month-long investigation by the 'Asian Tribune'.
